Who we're looking for:

Violinists/Fiddlers:

ages 5ish - Young Adult
level does not matter, there are level appropriate pieces for everyone

Singers and Singer/Fiddlers:

young singers, ages 3-5
Singer/Fiddlers, 5ish - Young Adult

Guitarists:

Rhythm Acoustic Guitar
Advanced students can apply for solos

Skills student's will develop:

How to play folk music
How to harmonize
How to improvise
How to jam with other musicians, no matter the style
How to write their own tunes
Performance and showmanship skills
How to book and contract gigs
How to run a show
Older kids will get leadership opportunities

Rehearsal Schedule and Location:

Practice Requirements:

Student will be provided with music/tablature, video instructions, and recordings to jam along with in preparation for the show. Caid is available for questions or one-on-one lessons, but music should be learned by the first rehearsal (I promise it will be doable no matter the student's level) and I recommend you work on the tunes with your private instructor if you have one. For the performance, music will need to be memorized.

Fees:

For the Fall 2024 performance, there are no fees. Just join! :D The Fall Fiddlers performance will be ticketed to cover the costs of venue.

Upcoming Performance and Rehearsal schedule:

Rehearsals will start in August, with the Fall Fiddlers performance happening in Late September/Early October. Official rehearsal and performance dates will be set once numbers for each level have been established.
